How To Play
When playing WORSCH a Player primarily wins/or loose wordPoints for using letters from one word, called a “keyWord,” to make another (valid) word, a “newWord.” A Player may lose wordPoints for making a “duplicate” newWord or for losing a “Challenge” to the “Theme” of another Player’s word.
The Theme introduces the keyWord. It can be audio, video, text or a no-theme. Each time a new theme is displayed the first player may choose to “Challenge” the “Theme” and predict the upcoming keyWord. A correct guess wins the player the right to plays all turns conversely for an incorrect guess the Player loses their turn to make a newWord.
WordPoints: A player’s wordPoints are generally based on the number of letters in the new Word [times] the person’s order of play. For example: if the first player makes an 8-letter word, the wordPoints would be 8 (number of letters) [times] x 1 (order of play), or 8 wordPoints. If the second player then makes a 6-letter word, their wordPoints would be 6 (number of letters) [times] x 2 (order of play), or 12 wordPoints.

Wildcards: At the beginning of the Game each Player gets three wildCards. A wildCard can represent any letter of the alphabet and must be used in combination with other letters from the keyword to make a valid newWord. .
Players may choose to use their wildCard at any time but not more than one per turn.
A wildCard can only be used to select a letter that is not in/or available in the keyWord.
A Player must use all wildCards before the game ends.
Consecutive Characters: 3cc – 5cc. Five or more consecutive letters of the keyWord cannot be used in the exact same order to make a newWord. For example: The keyWord is “Tonight.” A player who attempts to use “night” for a newWord would loose points because “night” is invalid. It has five consecutive letters from the keyWord. The word “tight” does not violate the 5cc rule because the letters used are not consecutive. Consecutive character level can be adjusted based 3cc – 5cc.
Duplicate Word: While a keyWord can repeat multiple times during each Round all words formed from the same keyWord must be unique. newWord duplicates, created from the same keyWord are not allowed.
Start Game
A Player’s progress and movement on the gameBoard, begins at the zeroSquare and moves towards the centerCircle (0 – 100) relative to the wordPoints won or lost.
A game is divided into Rounds. The first player to reach 100 wordPoints wins the Round. The winner of the Round is awarded wordPoints. To end/win the Round a Player must get the exact wordPoints to reach the hundred-mark.
